Praise and Prayer Requests – February 2018

  1. We will join our mother church for a baptism service on Sunday February 25. Praise God, five people from Baan Paeo plan to be baptized!  Please pray for Samruay, Rung, Nok, Mui, and Mayta as they prepare to follow the Lord in baptism.

  1. Praise God, we had the kick off for the church “Youth Group” on Saturday afternoon, January 13, with four teenage gals attending! This included one seeker!  Having a specific youth ministry has been on my heart for a long time.  The platform is music.  After an ice breaker and short devotional, I (Sue) taught beginning piano/keyboard.  Then Sittichai (the Bible School student who joins us for weekend ministry) and Bale taught beginning guitar.  Pray that God will bless this outreach and bring many teenagers to Himself.

  1. While we have seen many victories, the battle still rages for others. Very sad to report that it looks like Nought is no longer interested in following Jesus.  He is back into his addictions.  Pray that God will open his eyes to his genuine need for the Savior.  Pray too for his Aunt Ta, that she won’t be discouraged and will continue to grow in her faith.

  1. It is also disappointing that Jim wants to “go back to her old ways,” as she told me. This is particularly discouraging to me as we have been going through the discipleship material for over six months.   Pray that God will continue to reveal Himself to her.  Her daughter, Nong Nery, still enjoys coming to the Saturday Kid’s club.  Pray that Nong Nery will come to fully put her faith in Jesus alone.

Sue- thanks for sharing. Your River Valley IMPACTS Pray-er is praying for you and Ed every day.

  2. Doris Jensen says:

May Naught and Jim both find dissatisfaction with the old life and embrace Christ. Exciting to see some names we have prayed for preparing for baptism. May each one come to a deeper commitment to Christ. And may God draw lots of teens to the youth group and God work in hearts to draw them towards Christ.

  3. Steve Cutter says:

So glad to hear about the youth ministry! Will be praying for that to produce a harvest of young disciples!
