Praise and Prayer Requests – March 2019

  1. We have braved snow storms and “wintry mixes” as we traveled to the churches for the past month’s missions’ conferences. We are so thankful for the safety the Lord has given us on the roads.  We are also thankful for a warm home to live in this year.  We like the winter but are ready for spring.  We did take a week off in February to visit our son in western PA for his birthday, which was lots of fun.  We were also able to visit several friends from our college days who live out that way.

  1. We appreciate your prayers for the upcoming missions’ events: Valley View Alliance Church in York, PA (Fri. 3/8 – Sun. 3/10); Elysburg Alliance Church (Sat. 3/16 – Sun. 3/17); Shamokin Alliance Church (Sun. 3/17 – Ed); Eastern PA Great Commission Women’s Retreat (Fri. 3/22 – Sat. 3/23, Sue); Locust Valley Chapel C&MA in Coopersburg (Sat. 3/23 – Sun. 3/24); Oak Grove Alliance Church in Williamsport (Sun 3/31).  Pray that God will anoint our messages and raise up more workers for His harvest.

  1. Prayer requests from Pastor Suprasan (pastor of the Mahapawn Living Water Church, our Thai mother church): Please pray for the group of young people at his church, called “the Daniel Group,” that they will be bold in their faith like the prophet Daniel.  Pray for God’s provision for a new church home.  The lease on the current building that they have been renting for more than ten years will not be renewed, since the landlord will be selling the building.  The current building is very old, in need of major repairs, and is getting too small for the growing congregation.

  1. Please pray for Sittichai as he takes his comprehensive exams and finishes his academic studies at the Bangkok Bible Seminary. Pray that God will prepare him as he anticipates doing a year internship at the Mahapawn Baan Paeo Church beginning in August.  Pray too that God will continue to bless the ministry of this two-year old church and bring many Thai people to faith in Jesus.

  1. We have been blessed as we have personally met many of you, our prayer partners, while on home assignment this year in the USA. We wish we could meet everyone that prays for us and personally thank you!  God is building His church in Thailand in answer to prayer!  We are also very blessed by your generous gifts to the Great Commission Fund of The Christian and Missionary Alliance.  This fund provides what we need financially to serve the Lord in Thailand.  Gifts to this fund are tax deductible and can be given through your local C&MA church or directly to our support through the C&MA website: https://www.cmalliance.org/give  Thank you!
