Prayer Requests – January 2020

  1. The Mahapawn Living Water Church, our current mother church, has found a nice building with a parking area near their current rented facility that they are hoping to buy. This building is about ten years old and was built as a home office, so it would take little renovation to use it as a church.  The owner was thrilled when Pastor Sukprasan shared the church’s vision for the community.  It is the owners’ dream that the building be used to help society and told Pastor she is more than willing to negotiate the price.  The church already supplies educational scholarships to needy children, distributes necessary items to widows, and does many outreaches into the surrounding community.   Ed and I were privileged to help start this church back in 2007.  They have been meeting for Sunday worship since December 2008 in their current rented facility which they have outgrown.  After much prayer, Pastor Sukprasan feels it is time to step out in faith to acquire their own building which would greatly enhance their ability to reach out into their community.  Please pray that God will lead in this endeavor and for His provision.

  1. Please pray for those at the Mahapawn Baan Paeo Church that are being trained as leaders. We are using material from the Center for Leadership Development program.  Pray that each participant remains dedicated to the program and grows in their faith.

  1. Continue to pray for our outreach to the children and teenagers in the area. Pray that we will see these young people become solid disciples of Jesus.

  1. We will have a Soul Care program with Pastor Sukprasan, his wife Eve and Ajarn Sittichai in early February. Please pray as we continue translating the material and preparing for this conference.  After the conference, these three church leaders will be able to give us some guidance on how to implement this program in the Thai church. We long to see the Thai believers receive true freedom in Christ.

Thank you so much for faithfully standing with us in prayer and giving.  God has been building His church here in Baan Paeo in answer to your intercession. Your generous gifts to the Great Commission Fund (GCF) of the Christian and Missionary Alliance provide the finances we need to continue serving in Thailand.  Gifts to this fund are tax deductible and can be given through your local C&MA church or directly to our support through the C&MA website:  https://www.cmalliance.org/give
