Praise and Prayer Requests – May 2020
- The lay leadership training program has hobbled along “on-line” during the current lockdown with mixed results. Ed and Sittichai will be transitioning to a hybrid model for the weekly discussion groups with some participants meeting at church joined by others “on-line”. Please pray for the five church members in the program, that they will each grow in their faith as they are equipped for ministry through the program.
- Sittichai will be completing his nine-month internship at our church at the end of May. Praise God, he has agreed to continue serving at the church. Please pray that God will continue to anoint his ministry.
- Just as you’ve likely experienced where you are, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused fear and uncertainty among those we serve here in Thailand. Many are worried about the threat of infection and most are experiencing financial hardship. This year’s Great Commission Day Offering, Caring in Chaos, was created to help keep us and other Alliance international workers on the field to care for the physical and emotional needs of those around us—while offering the eternal hope of Jesus to those we’ve been called to serve. Will you consider giving generously to this offering so that our work here in Thailand can continue? A generous Alliance partner has offered to match all gifts to the Great Commission Day Offering—up to $250,000. So, if you give now, the impact of your gift can be doubled! We thank God for the generosity of His people! You can find out more about the Great Commission Day Offering—and how God is using Alliance workers to Care in Chaos—at www.cmalliance.org/gcd. You can also make an immediate gift at www.cmalliance.org/give.
