Praise and Prayer Requests – June 2020

  • Please pray for God to lead us in creative ways to reach out to the community now that the country is moving out of lockdown. Sittichai is also burdened for the many that joined us on-line from around the country too.
  • Is there such a thing as safe social distance children’s ministry?  With the Thai schools opening for their first semester on July 1, we anticipate more children coming to the church throughout the week.  Nong Baw, who will be going into fifth grade, has already asked Sittichai to start the discipleship lessons with him again.  Praise God.  Pray for God to direct us.
  • We are so thankful that Sittichai has agreed to continue serving at the church now that his formal internship has ended.  Ed will be mentoring him to be the pastor of the church, a title Sittichai does not feel very confident to accept yet.  Pray that God will continue to lead him and bless his ministry.
  • We are starting to make plans for some initial outreach into Baan Bo, a community of about 40,000 people 15 kilometers from us.  It is the area Pastor Sukprasan (our mother church pastor) would like to see the next daughter church and it is the very area that God has sent our dear sister, Nun, to live and open a new hair salon.  Pray for God’s leading.

Thank you so much for faithfully standing with us in prayer and giving.  God has been building His church here in Baan Paeo in answer to your intercession. Your generous gifts to the Great Commission Fund (GCF) of the Christian and Missionary Alliance provide the finances we need to continue serving in Thailand.  Gifts to this fund are tax deductible and can be given through your local C&MA church or directly to our support through the C&MA website:  https://www.cmalliance.org/give

Love in Christ,

Ed and Sue Danneker

Praise God for His faithfulness to you and to the Thai people! It is so good to see familiar faces again and to know that things are beginning to open up. Mary Ann and I thank the Lord for Pastor Sukprasan and his family, for Sittichai and his willingness to remain and minister to the Baan Paeo church, and for beginning to open doors in Baan Bo. The church of Jesus Christ is on the move! Stay safe!
