Praise and Prayer Requests – March 2021

- Praise God, the Lord has led the Mahapawn Living Water Church, our mother church, to begin the process of buying a building to use for their ministry center. The three-story building is double the size of their current rented facility and located just a few hundred meters deeper into the lane. The closing date is the last week of May. The church is very excited that they will be able to continue reaching out to the community with the love of Jesus. God has so graciously provided through the generous gifts of many donors, both in-country and outside Thailand. The church is trusting that the Lord will continue to provide for the necessary renovations. Please pray that everything goes smoothly with the buying process. Pray too for wisdom in doing the renovations. They hope to be in the building before the end of the year.
- Ed is praising God for the opportunity to disciple a man named Pote. Pote came to know Christ as his Savior while he was in prison through the testimony of his daughter Belle and a Christian prison ministry. (Belle is one of the church’s active young people.) Pote is determined to not return to his old life of sin by being a new man in Christ. Please pray that he will have a growing hunger to deepen in his relationship with Jesus and to know God’s word.
- It looks like we may finally be coming out of lockdown. This second wave of COVID 19 was harder than the first since our province was the epicenter. Lord willing, we will be able to begin in-person services again this month. Pray for a smooth transition and that God will continue to bring people to Himself.
- Sue is discipling two ladies that started attending the church in June. Neither had been specifically discipled at their former churches. Lek has been a Christian for about 5 years and moved back to the Baan Paeo area to care for her bed-ridden mother. Her mom passed away in October, but Lek has decided to retire and stay here. Chaw-er-ang has been a Christian for about eight years. She moved back to Baan Paeo after retiring to live with her son’s family. Lek and Chaw-er-ang’s friendship is growing, and Sue is now discipling them together. Both ladies are eager to serve the Lord. The three of us have already been able to visit two other ladies that are showing an interest in the Lord. Pray that both ladies will continue to grow in their faith and that the Lord will continue to provide ministry opportunities.
Thank you so much for coming alongside us as we minister in Thailand. We are very grateful for your faithful prayers and financial gifts to The Great Commission Fund (GCF) of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. You may give to the GCF through your local Alliance Church or online at https://secure.cmalliance.org/give/ These gifts benefit us and all of the international workers of the C&MA. You may also give to our support directly under the GIVE tab of the C&MA website. Select the section “a worker you love” and type in “Danneker, Ed & Sue.” Thank you!
In Christ’s love,
