Baptisms and good conversations…

In our April 2015 update we shared with you the story of a man who came to Christ through the connections he made with Christian parents at the “Coloured World of Kids” pre-school. Yesterday we had the privilege of watching Daniel be baptized! What an exciting time it was. With his permission, we are sharing a photo with you and thanking you tremendously for your prayers. Please keep praying~ we desire to see many more living here in Berlin take that step!
In June 2015 we asked you to pray for those participating in the recent faith course. Yesterday was our “Café International” church service at which we offer deeper, small group discussions after the sermon for those who want to participate. Don preached from 1 Corinthians 15 concentrating on the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. H, one of the participants, was at church and took part in a small group that Sarah was also part of after the sermon. She was amazed at his openness as he shared that thinking of the resurrection causes him to worry about his family, specifically his elderly father. He realizes that if he believes that Jesus is risen from the dead and offers us eternal life with him, he is also admitting that those who don’t accept this free gift face an eternity without God. We were able to pray with him for his father and encourage him of God’s great love for his father. Please pray with us for H’s father, that he would acknowledge his need for God and accept Jesus’ free gift of salvation. Please praise God with us that H is internalizing these truths and pray that he also soon commits to following Jesus. We are trusting that God will use H’s story to touch his father’s life.
Once again we can only try to communicate our gratefulness for your partnership with us as you pray and give. THANK YOU!!! May God bless you as you minister to those worldwide, sometimes without even knowing their names!
