Dear Family and Friends,
The New Year is upon us, and we are excited to see what God has in store in the next 12 months! What a great time of the year to concentrate on the amazing gift of Jesus Christ and the hope and joy that comes through knowing Him.
As a family we are doing well. Don is again speaking in C&MA churches. In the fall he made his way through Pennsylvania and Ohio. In the coming months he will travel throughout Pennsylvania as well as Maryland and Delaware. He is enjoying connecting with so many different people and hearing what God is doing in and through those churches! He’s also been mulling over 1 & 2 Peter quite a bit and is convinced that a big part of being set apart for God involves the eternal hope and joy that we find in Christ.
Sarah has been focused on helping in Jenna’s classroom, as well as providing specific dyslexia tutoring for Jenna during the school day and at home. We are very blessed to have a great school that has been easy to work with in regards to Jenna’s dyslexia. Sarah’s been blessed to be part of a women’s inductive Bible study on Isaiah. She gets really excited to talk about what Isaiah had to say to the divided kingdoms of Israel as well as what God says to us today through these passages.
Dane had a great season of soccer this fall, and has been enjoying his seventh grade year at Nittany Christian School here in State College. He loves being a part of youth group here at the State College Alliance.
Jenna is enjoying school like never before as a fourth grader. She has made great strides in her school work. She was able to take horseback riding lessons again this fall, and is so excited to get to snowboard again through her school.
Continue to pray for us as we seek God’s face and wait on His plans in the coming months. We know that God has all of that in His hands, and that His plan for us is excellent, whether that is stateside or in Berlin. We are finding that this time of waiting on the Lord has been some of the best times for us as a family spiritually, because we are focused on investing in what God is putting right in front of us.
May God’s grace and peace overwhelm you in this New Year!
In His Grip,
Don, Sarah, Dane and Jenna Jones
