Father’s Love

A few weeks ago I was having a really tough week, and someone here on a visit directed my attention to Jesus’ prayer for his followers in John 17.  He prays, “The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”  (v.22,23)

What an incredible thought!  Our Father loves us just as He loves His Son!  Have you stopped to think about that lately?  I’ve been thinking about it lately!  A lot.  In fact during that time, I was also pondering Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:14-21, that we would comprehend … the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge.  The message of my Father’s love has been “popping up” in quite a number of ways in these last few weeks, which is just another confirmation of that love.  He loves me so much that He is making sure that I hear the message over and over and over again.

This morning it was good to just sit and meditate on that love and allow it to pour over me.  I wanted to share this with you because maybe you need to be reminded of His great love for you today.

Resting in His love,

Brenda
