Mid-Trimester Update

Posted by Kandi on February 18th, 2018 | 2 comments

We are half way through the 2nd Trimester of the school year at the Antioch Bible Institute and the full-time students continue to do well.  Not only are they studying, they’ve also had the chance to do some helpful and fun things in the past seven weeks, too.  Things like donate blood, join in the wedding of a friend and take a day trip to the beach!

The ministry group at the railroad track community continues to share Bible stories at two houses – (we are up to the stories about Abraham) and have found the children in that neighborhood very open to learning about Jesus, too.  God has graciously provided a few more volunteers to work with the children (thanks to your prayers for more workers) and we are hoping to start a modified version of AWANA with the kids in the next couple of weeks.  Please pray for this new work.  These kids are not your nicely behaved Sunday School kids, however, they are eager to interact with adults who care about them and will tell them about Jesus.  Pray God will guide us and give us enormous amounts of patience and energy.  And most of all, pray that God will call many of these children into His Kingdom.

Another praise is the renewed construction of the school’s residence building.  Thanks to the generous gifts and prayers of many of you, we have enough funds to continue construction – although not enough to complete it.  Please continue to pray for the needed finances to come in to complete the building.

I also want to thank you also for your prayers for my father who had a stroke on Feb. 10th.  He is doing much better and was transferred to a rehab center this past weekend.  He has a long road of recovery ahead of him.  I’d appreciate your continued prayers for him and my family.
