The End and the Beginning . . .

God has graciously answered many of your prayers in the last weeks, so thank you for praying!
The students seem to be doing a bit better these last two weeks. One of the students who has been battling various spiritual issues this trimester has been so joyful this last week. I think it’s proof of the effectiveness of your prayers and the power of God that she has found joy and freedom! Her happiness certainly comes from nearing the end of the trimester (as all students and teachers are happy when summer vacation nears), but it also comes from the amazing things that God has done in her and in her family. Praise God for His faithfulness and goodness!
Two more days and the trimester (and school year) is over. Pray for the students as they take their last finals. We are really excited for graduation on July 25th. It’s the first graduation from Antioch Bible Institute and we can’t wait to celebrate with our two students, Chantu and Hanna, and with two of our teachers, Sarom and Kunthea, who have also finished all the courses at Antioch. Pray for Chantu and Hanna as they set out on their next adventure with God and discern where He would have them serve. With only two students graduating, we expected a small ceremony, but it looks like we’ll have more than 100 people in attendance! Pray with us for a joyful and God glorifying time together.
Continue to pray that God will send us students for the new school year which starts in September. We don’t have anyone yet and that is rather disheartening – especially, since we so clearly see the need and the opportunity in the city. We need more workers for the harvest that is here, so pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send us the workers that we can help prepare.
Thank you for your prayers for the International Worker’s Field Forum (yearly retreat/strategy meetings) earlier this month. God met us there. We had times of tears, times of laughter and times of intensive prayer for healing and deliverance. I thank God for a wonderful team to work with in Cambodia.
And I want to thank you one more time in this blog – this time for your gifts supporting the work of international workers around the world. This year the C&MA sent out 60 new workers – two of whom are coming to Cambodia in August! Thank you for your generous gifts which are impacting not only Cambodia, but God’s Kingdom around the world. You are invaluable partners in taking the gospel to the ends of the earth and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
