Church planting and Teachers

Thank you for your prayers!  The Antioch students had a great time with the students at their sister school, Elim, a few weeks ago.  In fact, the Elim students didn’t want the Antioch students to leave!  But thankfully, everyone returned after the break and are again back into the routine of classes, chores and ministry groups.

The students in the Vietnamese ministry group have joined a team of other workers (including International Workers and one of our students who graduated in July) to investigate possibilities for a new church plant.  Pray for this team as they visit and research various locations around the city.  Pray that God would clearly direct them to the place where He is already preparing hearts to receive the good news of Jesus.

Praise God, the work on the residence building has started up again this week!  They are currently working to finish the rooftop area and then will move on to the 2nd floor.  Continue to pray for the construction of the building.  We are hoping the 2nd floor will be finished by January.

Please ask God to bring us another teacher couple in the next few months, too.  Since several of the teachers, including myself, will be leaving at the end of this school year, it’s vital that we have new teachers in place soon, so they can be trained and get use to how we do things at Antioch before the school year finishes.  Ideally, we’d like to have them start at the school in January (the start of the 2nd trimester).  And ideally, the 2nd floor of the residence building will be done by that time, so we’ll have a place to house them!  Please pray with us for God’s provision for this need.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and gifts to the Great Commission Fund and the residence building construction!  We can’t do it without you!

Rejoicing with you and your students in your loving hearts to expand the ministry to souls who need Jesus. Praying for clear direction as you consider new neighborhoods. Praying for timely identification of new teacher couple to fill the upcoming vacancies. Jesus is never late, though sometimes He chooses to delay an answer to maximize the building up of faith.

I’m excited about the church plant! What a great outcome of all your teaching! It’s not about just filling our heads with knowledge but about putting our faith in action and going and making disciples.
I will be praying for all these requests, Kandi!

Thank you for your faithful updates, Kandi. Know we will be praying. You are our missionary of special focus for the month of November, so we will see your smiling face in the church and e-newsletters even when you are not here in person. Miss you, and praying for you.

Hi, Kandi! I’m praying for you all, too! Will the church plant be for Vietnamese-speaking people? Just wondering.
Thanks for all your works of faith, labors of love, and steadfast hope in the Lord!

Yes, the target group is Vietnamese speaking people. They are an unreached people group in Cambodia. Thanks for your prayers!
