At the end of this week, we hit two more holidays here in Cambodia – Independence Day which is immediately followed by Water Festival.  That means some days off for the students.  Usually when we have a couple of days off in a row, we plan some sort of outing with the students, but this year we are just staying at the school.

So we are planning for some special food, games and activities right at the school.  One of the students requested a bonfire where we can bake sweet potatoes and worship and share together.  Pray for good fellowship, fun and an encouraging time together as a school and with our friends who join us.  Pray also for a peaceful holiday for all.

As for the last few weeks, thanks for praying!

The 2nd year students had a successful CPR and First Aid class at Elim Bible School.  See pictures below.

And the youth rally went well, too!  See a few pictures below.

Thanks for the update and photos, Kandi! Hope you enjoy the holidays. Sorry for the political situation keeping you from traveling…praying for peaceful holidays and great fellowship.

Thanks Jessica. It’s not so bad. I wasn’t too keen on traveling anyway. And thankfully, the political issues turned out to be all talk. Things are probably more difficult where you are!

I googled the political situation there & found some info through the Al-Jazeera news, Sounds like this Saturday could be problematic. You are wise to stay put. I hope you all have a blessed time worshiping together & doing some fun activities! I’ll be praying!

Thank you for your prayers Su! Things were very quiet. People either left the city for fear of unrest or didn’t want to leave their house on that Saturday. The driving was wonderful that day – no traffic!!

Praying for you and the students! God is with you always!
