School is Starting!!!

We have three new students and two returning students for this new school year – for which we are grateful. All five of them are now on campus – four of them in quarantine in their rooms for a few days which means the teachers are doing a lot of cooking (me, I’m just washing dishes . . . they don’t trust me cooking.) Thankfully, Poch, one of our students who was not able to go home during break because of Covid and so doesn’t have to quarantine, has also graciously been lending a hand with the shopping, cooking and delivering of meals to the quarantined students.

We’ve been able to have morning chapel with the students via Messenger which has been interesting, but gives us a good chance to interact with the students while they are stuck in their rooms. Interestingly, one of our students is a 63 year-old woman. She wanted her son to attend Antioch, but he wasn’t interested. After hearing about the school, she decided she wanted to come! Pray for our students and our teachers as classes start on September 1st.

Thank you for your prayers for the CMA Office staff who were Covid positive several weeks ago. They have all now completely recovered and should be returning to work this week. We praise God that no one was seriously ill and that cases countrywide have seemed to lessen a bit. Please do pray for one new missionary family who tested positive during their required quarantine on arrival in Cambodia. They will be monitored and continue to quarantine within the government health system. Pray for God’s peace, protection and that their illness will remain mild.

    Dear Kandi,
Although we haven’t communicated for many years, Howard & I have continued to keep you on our regular prayer list ever since you spent time in Santa Rosa, CA. Your letters are very interesting and help us to be more specific in our prayers for you and the people with whom you are interacting.

Thanks Jessica! Hope your HA is going well. I saw you at Grace (online) and your interview was great! Praying that God is opening up doors for your future.

So happy to hear that you have new students and age doesn’t matter, as long as they want to learn anything about our Lord Savior is great to hear. As far as the any that didn’t return, trust in our Lord and if He wants them there, they will return with good faith. Keep the faith in Him to let this bad thing happening all over the world end, it is hurting and killing everyone, I pray daily.
