New simpler way to partner with us

Thank you for your partnership with us as we come alongside Thai believers to plant new communities of faith in least reached areas of Thailand.  Your financial gifts to The Great Commission Fund (GCF) of the Christian and Missionary Alliance benefit us and over 700 International workers around the world as we serve communities, multiply church networks and develop people who’ll continue the journey of following Jesus. That will continue to be true and we greatly appreciate these general gifts.  This year, these general funds will provide over 75% of our compensation package and ministry funds.  Like before, you can […]

Praise and Prayer Requests – June 2021

Please pray for the Mahapawn Living Water Church, our mother church, as they do the renovations on their new building.  Pray that God will lead them in new and creative outreaches into the community.  One young child who lives next to the new building told Pastor Sukprasan that she would be the first to attend the services at the new church. The Mahapawn Baan Paeo Church had another free give away in front of their church building on Saturday afternoon May 22. In less than 45 minutes, 100 packets of face masks, hand gel, gospel tracts and bottles of cold […]

And God stopped the rain

Manao was eager to make the annual trip to the family village in Northeast Thailand over the Thai New Year holidays in April.  She especially wanted to see her ailing grandmother.  Belle, another young person in our church, was reluctant since she is from Baan Paeo and wanted to keep her hair salon open.  She decided to go along to honor her husband and his family who are from the same village as Manao.  I told her, perhaps God will use her and Manao in a special way this year. The first night they arrived, Belle and Manao shared the […]

Praise And Prayer Requests – May 2021

The Mahapawn Baan Paeo Church is back on-line for Sunday services due to the third wave of COVID after just 5-weeks of meeting in-person.  Please pray that we can creatively continue to care for the church members and reach out to the community.   The current COVID wave is more severe and widespread than the previous two waves.  Pray for God’s mercy and protection.    The planned outreaches at Mahapawn Baan Suan and Baan Bo are on hold due to the current COVID restrictions.  Praise God, the Lord is not restricted in any way.  Please pray with us that God […]

Christmas Outreaches in March

Christmas in March!  Why not?  If you remember, all our Christmas outreaches had to be canceled less than 12 hours before they were about to begin.  Our province was the epicenter of the COVID wave that started mid-December, with more than 15,000 infections.  The government was very quick to test, isolate, and restrict movement.  Schools in our province were closed and then on-line. Church services had to be virtual as well.    Praise God, things improved.  By the end of February, the situation was under control with the infection rate much lower and traceable.  Schools began to open for in-person […]

Praise and Prayer Requests – April 2021

Mahapawn Baan Paeo Church   Praise God, we have been allowed to have in-person worship services since mid-March.  Pray for the Mahapawn Baan Paeo Church to continue impacting the community for Jesus.  The church lost some momentum during the past 2 ½ month lock down with doing services exclusively on-line.  Pray for Pastor Sittichai as he leads the congregation.  Baan Bo   Ed and I are partnering with the Mahapawn Living Water Church (our current mother church) AND the Mahapawn Baan Paeo Church to plant the next daughter church in Baan Bo.  Baan Bo is located about halfway between the two churches.  […]

New Biker Ministry

“The young men are very interested in my motorcycle,” Pastor Sittichai commented, as he tweaked a few things on his new purchase.  He was able to buy a good used motorcycle with very low mileage.  It’s considered a “big-bike” in Thailand with its 200-cc engine and sporty black exterior.  Most motorcycles in Thailand are in the 125-150 cc range.  Motorcycles are the most common means of transportation here.  Oom stopped by with his friend Ert to check out the bike.  Sittichai invited them for lunch and to hang out at church for a while.  “I’m building the relationship so I […]

Praise and Prayer Requests – March 2021

Praise God, the Lord has led the Mahapawn Living Water Church, our mother church, to begin the process of buying a building to use for their ministry center.  The three-story building is double the size of their current rented facility and located just a few hundred meters deeper into the lane.  The closing date is the last week of May.  The church is very excited that they will be able to continue reaching out to the community with the love of Jesus. God has so graciously provided through the generous gifts of many donors, both in-country and outside Thailand.  The […]

Second Wave Blessings

Samut Sakhon Province, where we live, continues to be the epicenter of this second wave of Covid-19 infections that began mid-December.  Several field hospitals were set-up about a half hour from us to care for the thousands that tested positive.  After those first two weeks of a partial lock down, many businesses have gradually been allowed to re-open with proper health protocol in place. But due to the high daily infection rate, schools remain closed in our province.  The temples are quiet, except for funerals.  The nightly curfew remains in place.  But God is still at work. New church service […]

Praise and Prayer Requests – Feb. 2021

While the rest of the country has been gradually opening up after this second round of COVID, Samut Sakhon Province remains the epicenter and under stricter controls.  Please pray as we will need to stay on-line for our main services.  Pray that God will direct us to creatively still be the church, even with limited face-to-face interaction.  Pray that all our members will grow closer to God during this time. Ed and I have been able to get to know our neighbors more on the street where we live since everyone is trying to stay at home. Around 5 PM […]
