Back to Cambodia

Posted by Kandi on June 27th, 2021 | 8 comments

On July 2nd I’ll be headed back to Cambodia. As your 4th of July holiday begins, I’ll be arriving in Phnom Penh and moving into a hotel room for two weeks of quarantine. So much for having freedom on Independence Day! 🙂

Pray for my teammates and I as we finish packing, say goodbye to family and friends and ‘jump through all the hoops’ to get the documents we need to enter Cambodia. I’d also appreciate your prayers for my jaw – which has been giving problems for the last month. It’s getting better, but I still don’t have normal range of motion.

For those of you who are wondering about the Co-Vid situation in Cambodia – their total cases are up to over 45,000. More than half the cases yesterday were outside the city. Although some restrictions have been reinstated in Phnom Penh, most people in the city are already vaccinated.

This has been an unusual home assignment year, but I’ve enjoyed the time I’ve spent with many of you. You have encouraged me by your interest, prayers and support . . . and wish I could take you all back with me! Thank you so much for being faithful partners in the work in Cambodia!

I’ll send the next update from quarantine in Cambodia, as I’ll have lots of time on my hands. 🙂 Feel free to send a message or email. It’s the one time I can almost guarantee a quick response!

Yes, it is rather ironic to go into quarantine on the 4th of July. 🙂
